If Wichita State sponsors football, then it would force the AAC to either add 1 more (Army or UMass?) or lose 1 program to make sure both divisions are balanced to satisfy NCAA bylaws. If the AAC doesn't want to add another school, then it may open up the door for the ACC to lure Navy as a football-only member in hopes that makes it easier for Notre Dame to become a full member. If Notre Dame refuses to give up its football independence, then would the ACC have any interest in seeing Army and Navy become football-only members?
